Tom trained and qualified as an Environmental Health Officer with Westminster City Council, moving to LB Haringey where he specialised in Housing Renewal.
He recently spent a year as Project Manager with the foremost Landlord Accreditation Scheme in the country at Leeds City. As a result of his strong interest in furthering accreditation, he became the Chair of the Accreditation Network UK (ANUK) in May 2005.
Tom is currently working as Project Manager for Decent and Safe Homes (DASH) East Midlands, a regional partnership project funded by Government Office East Midlands to raise standards in the Private Rented Sector.
He has been working on developing regional resources supporting Local Housing Authorities and Landlords by providing the DASH web site, printed materials, training sessions, conferences and many other activities.
He also led on producing the industry standard manual for Landlord Professional Development working with ANUK and the IDeA and hopes to make his recent work on Regional Landlord Accreditation the National model.
